Bridal handbag questions

Do I need a bridal bag on my wedding day? What would I do with it? How would I hold it if I have a bouquet in the other hand? Those thoughts have probably crossed the mind of every future bride.

You should absolutely have a bridal bag for your wedding day. Hand your wedding handbag over to someone trustworthy during the ceremony and then keep it on the table or just hang it on your chair during the reception. Your bridal bag is not only an exciting addition that can complete your look, but also a very useful accessory that you can fill with a few practical items which prepare you for any unexpected situations.

Check out our must-have bridal bag essentials list:

  1. Blotting papers
Absolute must for every combination / oily skin type bride.
It will help you to remove excess oil and shine from your face.
  2. Compact powder with a mirror
Use it to mattify your face – you don’t want any shine on your pictures!
Important tip – to avoid looking cakey, instead of applying multiple layers of powder first use the blotting papers and follow up with a sheer layer of powder.
  3. Lipstick/ lip gloss
You will be kissing your guests and your husband all day long.
Be prepared to touch up lips multiple times throughout the evening.
  4. Perfume roll-on or sample
As I mention before, you will be hugging and kissing everyone.
This will help you feel fresh even at the end of the day.
  5. Q-tips
Even the most professional makeup can smudge.
Especially since there will be so many touching moments that could make your burst out in tears.
Have those little guys on hand, so you can quickly remove any makeup imperfections.
  6. Concealer
Your makeup can wear off by the end of the day.
It’s good to have it in your bridal bag so you can spot-correct any possible imperfections.
  7. Floss
You don’t want to smile having a piece of salad in your teeth.
Some brides even brush their teeth in the middle of the reception.
I wouldn’t recommend it – it’s easy to accidentally splash some water/paste on your gown or smudge your makeup.
Flossing is a much better lower risk choice.
  8. Deodorant Towelettes
These are crucial. The last thing you want to worry about is to be sweaty, as you dance your night away.
Especially in the hot summer, it’s an absolutely must have for every bride.
